The Mr. Ed Show had all sorts of Hollywood footnotes. For instance, the name of the unbilled actor who was the voice of the horse was a former cowboy movie star known as Allen "Rocky" Lane. He asked to be unbilled in the beginning(due to professional embarassment), but when the show became a hit, and he decided he WANTED to be billed, it was too late. It was in the contract.
